Court Admin Michael Allatta runs the day-to-day work. Judge James P. Sloan hears cases. Prosecutor Anthony M. Arbore handles the state's side. Public Defender John Grey Jr. helps those who qualify. This shared setup means that traffic court records for seven towns in Sussex County are now held at one site. If you had a case at the old Stanhope court, your records may have moved to the Andover joint court.
This shared court model is common in Sussex County. Small towns pool their resources to run one court instead of many. It saves money but means you may need to travel to a court in a different town than where your stop took place.
